Par for the course.

As usual, I have abso-fucking-lutely nothing to talk about…except a couple of funny quote’s from Bear:

“Are you asleep yet? Because if you are, I’m gonna ravish you now.”

Yeah, I sooo pretended to be asleep. (For almost 10 whole seconds.)

“So you want me to dress up like Count Chocula and take you from behind?”

I…uh…I totally plead the fifth…

Moving on…

Check this shit out. (Warning: contents so fucking adorable they could cause gagging.)

And speaking of Par for the Course-
here’s another fun site.

And speaking of idioms; why does the phrase ‘A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush’ always make me think bad? My maturity level drops to that of a 12-year-old boy the instant I here it. Kinda pathetic really.

here's to many more...

Today The Bear and I celebrate our fifth anniversary. I honestly cannot express in words how wonderful this feels to me. I know for a fact that I am extraordinarily lucky in the relationship department. The Bear and I started dating when I was 17, the beginning of my senior year of high school. This made my parent’s uber nervous because he is three years older than me and had his own apartment. (Trust me on this, nothing scares a teenaged girls parents like a boyfriend with his own place.)

He asked me to marry him about two weeks before my graduation. Actually, now that I think about it, he didn’t really ask so much as tell me: “Look, I’ve done a lot of thinking the past couple of weeks and I’ve decided that I don’t want you to be my girlfriend anymore…I want you to be my wife.”

In my opinion, only a truly stupid woman would turn that down, even if she is only 17. I am not a stupid girl. (I just play one on my blog.)

Despite the proposal, The Bear and I did not get married right away. We lived together for a year before my mom and step-mom got to talking about how they wanted us to make it official and ended up planning out the entire wedding. They basically called and told The Bear and I when and where and told me to show up in white. If there is one thing I have learned through having two moms, it's: when they both get going in the same direction, it is crucial that you do whatever they say if you want to go on breathing. So we got married on June 2, 2001. It seems like yesterday, but at the same time, it feels like I have known my husband my whole life. I couldn’t ask for a better life than the one I have with him.

But I do think there is room for change. The time has come to change ‘our song’. For the past six years our song has jokingly been ‘closer’ by Nine Inch Nails. You know, “I wanna fuck you like an animal, I wanna feel you from the inside…”

Yeah, like I said, definitely time for a change. One of my husbands favorite songs is by Jack Johnson. It is a wonderful song that I think fits us perfectly. So, what do you say Bear? Should we make ‘Banana Pancakes’ our new song?

Well can't you see that it's just raining
there ain't no need to go outside...
But Baby, You hardly even notice
when I try to show you this song
is meant to keep ya
from doing what you're supposed to
waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
make you banana pancakes
pretend like it's the weekend now

And we can pretend it all the time, yeah
Can't you see that it's just raining
there ain't no need to go outside

But just maybe, halaka ukulele
mama made a baby
Really dont mind the practice
cause you're my little lady
lady lady love me
cause I love to lay here lazy
we could close the curtains
pretend like there's no world outside

And we can pretend it all the time
and cant you see that it's just raining
there ain't no need to go outside
ain't no need ain't no need
Mmmm MMmmm
Can't you see, can't you see
rain all day
and I dont mind.

But the telephone singing
ringing it's too early
don't pick it up
we don't need to we got everything
we need right here
and everything we need is enough
just so easy
when the whole world fits inside of your arms
do we really need to pay attention to the alarm?
wake up slow, mmm mmm wake up slow
But baby
You hardly even notice
when I try to show you
this song is meant to keep ya
from doing what you're supposed to
waking up too early

Maybe we can sleep in
make you banana pancakes
pretend like its the weekend now

And we can pretend it all the time
Cant you see that its just raining
aint no need to go outside
aint no need aint no need
rain all day and i really really really don't mind
Can't you see, can't you see, you gotta wake up slow
