Update:

So, remember a while back when I mentioned how excited I was about seeing the preview for Clerks II? Yeah, well, it’s in theaters today. And I found out the other day that it got an 8-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. 8 minutes. 8-goddamned-minutes. Do you have any idea how much you have to like a movie to stand and clap for eight solid minutes? A fucking lot, that’s how much. Totally Jazzed about this. Cannot wait to see it.

In other news…

Today is National Junk Food Day.

Yeah, that’s right bitches. You read it right…National Junk Food Day. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go find a
Cheesecake Factory. Have a nice day.

What did my family do to piss off the universe?

Thursday – My mom calls to tell me that my me-me (maternal grandmother) has been in a car accident. Apparently she is fine but her car is damaged and will not start.

Friday – Billabong calls to tell me that my youngest brother, Cordy, had to go to the ER because he was bit by a mouse while trying to save Jack, his kitten from a sticky trap. Doctor put him on UBER-antibiotics and said that he should be fine.

Saturday – Billabong called again to let me know that my mom and dad had gone to take care of my granny (paternal grandmother)…because she was bit by a rattlesnake. She apparently jerked her hand back before the snake could sink its fangs in too far so she was lucky and able to avoid that whole poisonous venom thing.

Sunday – Call from my mom again. Cordy got into a fight and has a black eye…but you should see the other kid.

I’m starting to worry that I might be next…

I have a problem...

In case you haven’t noticed, I never post anything really personal on my blog. Hell, I barely ever post impersonal things. I mean, lets face it, as far as you know the most important thing going on in my life is the fact that they moved the fucking trashcan at work.

It’s not like I decided from the get-go that I would avoid talking about my personal life beyond the sometimes-funny incidents. It’s not an embarrassment issue…I don’t mind talking about anything and everything going on in my life. Just ask Kate. As a matter of fact, most of the time I will want to blog about something, but when I sit down to type it out I find that I am no longer interested in telling the world about my problems or even my joys. And if I’m not interested in telling it, then you sure as hell won’t want to read about it.

But the fact of the matter is this: I actually have a lot (good and bad) going on in my life. For instance:

--I ordered tickets for the upcoming Family Values concert in August as a birthday present for my brother, my sister and myself. (We were all born in the first week in August: Me-1st, LaciLu-3rd, Billabong-4th.) A concert that my sister, LaciLu, has recently decided not to attend…for religious reasons. Honestly, I don’t mind that she feels that a Korn concert is not a place for a good Christian to be. I get that. What I don’t get is why she told me a couple months ago that she would love to go to the concert, let me order the ticket, and then backed out. But you know what? I’m not even going to worry about it. She and I will always have a difference of opinion when it comes to religion, but I will also always love her. And despite the fact that I now have an extra ticket, I’m still jazzed that I’m going to see Korn live
(again) along with Deftones, Stone Sour and Flyleaf.

--My grandfather is really sick…like the kind of sick you don’t get better from. He’s to the point that he is frustrated that he wants to go but his body just will not let go. The thing is, I have never been really close to my grandfather, but I’m worried about how my grandmother is going to deal. How much will her life change when he is no longer there to drive her crazy every second of the day? Will she finally have some peace? Or will she be too sad?

--Ok, enough with the doom ‘n’ gloom. On to a much more cheerful subject… My new favorite song is ‘Juicy’ by Better Than Ezra. This song came on the other night while my husband was doing amazing things to my body and I remember thinking ‘how appropriate’. Now I get excited every time I hear this song. And since I downloaded it, I hear it about 25,643,281,621 times a day.

He did it…he actually did it!

--And I miss Kate…Terribly.
